About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Substation Civil Design Engineer to join our team at Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, leading, and overseeing engineering responsibilities related to transmission substation civil design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and plan civil design projects for transmission substations, ensuring compliance with Oncor standards and best practices.
  • Procure engineering services, such as surveying and geotechnical testing, to support civil design efforts.
  • Produce engineering design drawings for foundations, grading, drainage, erosion control, and other civil-related items.
  • Prepare budgetary cost estimates and Work Authorizations to obtain financial approval for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate the construction of assigned projects, working closely with contractors and Oncor's Construction Management team.
  • Communicate and interface with other areas of the Company and external partners to ensure civil designs and construction practices meet Oncor's standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and 6+ years of related engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer License in the State of Texas is recommended.
  • Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and technical capabilities.
  • Strong leadership, subject knowledge, and design experience to provide engineering design and coordination services for system-wide transmission station projects.
