Position Overview:

The UHealth Tower is seeking a dedicated and skilled Oncology Registered Nurse 2 to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer standard chemotherapy, biotherapy agents, and non-chemotherapy medications in accordance with established protocols.
  • Monitor patient responses to treatment, including therapeutic effects and side effects, while collecting necessary laboratory specimens as dictated by each protocol.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with clinical practice standards.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and protocol requirements.
  • Stay informed about new protocols and changes to existing protocols through independent learning.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures to ensure a safe and effective care environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Completion of the Oncology Nurse Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Administration Guidelines provider course is required.
  • Oncology certification (OCN) is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in oncology nursing, specifically in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy agents.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care methodologies, and health and safety protocols.
