Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LVN/LPN to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team at the Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program. As a key member of our treatment team, you will provide high-quality care to our clients, working closely with physicians, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Implement the Nursing Care Plan, ensuring all orders from physicians and psychiatrists are carried out and client information is communicated promptly and clearly.
  • Follow and implement the Nursing Care Plan, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
  • Dispense medication as prescribed, maintaining accurate records and logs.
  • Perform primary first aid, determining the need for physician notification and ensuring timely communication.
  • Manage client medical needs, including scheduling appointments, referrals, and prior authorizations for medical treatments and tests.
  • Support clients during admission processes, acclimating them to the program and milieu.
  • Supervise and support clients on community outings, as needed.
  • Objectively and accurately document client progress on a daily basis.
  • Assess clients' suicidality and potential danger to self or others.
  • Communicate with referral sources and outpatient providers for continuity of care upon admission, midpoint, and discharge.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a LVN/LPN or equivalent program.
  • Holds a current LVN/LPN license in good standing or equivalent.
  • One year experience preferred in mental health or eating disorders field.
  • Blood draw certificate preferred.
  • Must possess a current Driver's License in good standing.
