Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Cleaner to join our team at TerraBella Northridge. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Residential Cleaner, your duties will include:

  • Executing cleaning tasks according to a structured schedule in designated areas, including resident apartments, communal spaces, and administrative offices.
  • Performing floor care by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming various surfaces.
  • Rotating and maintaining floor runners in high-traffic areas.
  • Sanitizing and polishing restroom fixtures and facilities, ensuring all dispensers are stocked.
  • Scrubbing tiles, woodwork, and window frames to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Managing cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are organized and in good condition.
  • Collecting and disposing of waste from work areas in designated locations.
  • Handling community laundry, including collection, cleaning, and redistribution.
  • Maintaining the commercial laundry area in a sanitary state.
  • Storing cleaning chemicals securely when not in use.
  • Ensuring that all cleaning equipment is safely stored and does not obstruct exits, adhering to fire safety regulations.
  • Reporting maintenance needs and supply shortages to the Lead Housekeeper.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping is advantageous.
  • Effective communication skills in the primary language of our residents.
  • The ability to read and interpret safety guidelines and operational manuals.
  • A genuine interest in working with senior individuals.
  • A courteous and friendly demeanor when interacting with residents and staff.

Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to:

  • Stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks.
  • Occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Engage in activities that may require climbing, kneeling, or crouching.
