This position serves as a crucial point of contact for Customer Service and Satisfaction within the store. The Retail Operations Supervisor is responsible for maximizing sales and profitability through effective management of sales, inventory, expenses, human resources, and operational costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and engage customers as they enter the store.
  • Assist the Store Manager in evaluating store performance; track store metrics and support the development and implementation of improvement strategies.
  • Manage expenses and shrinkage to enhance store profitability.
  • Uphold all merchandising standards, display presentation, and signage requirements.
  • Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked at all times.
  • Lead local marketing initiatives (workshops, demonstrations, etc.) to attract new customers and achieve sales targets.
  • Promote woodworking activities and knowledge within the community to boost store traffic and sales.

Qualifications:

  • Energetic and self-motivated with strong listening and communication skills; bilingual is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs, with a commitment to safe team lifting practices.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a retail environment is preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of retail sales experience, ideally with a similar product line.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills with customers.
  • Effective problem-solving and resolution capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
