Electrical Engineer Job Description

Figure is an AI Robotics company based in Sunnyvale, CA, developing a general-purpose humanoid designed for corporate tasks. We require an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and test critical hardware components of our humanoid.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop conceptual designs and conduct trade studies to support key design decisions.
  • Design and validate PCBAs for critical components, including power distribution boards, battery management systems, sensing boards, motor controllers, and compute boards.
  • Contribute to the definition of our PCBA design and test process.
  • Support the review of design artifacts from peers or external suppliers.
  • Support system integration and test activities by contributing to test execution and debugging.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3 years of industry experience.
  • Solid EE fundamentals with hands-on experience designing, building, and testing PCBAs.
  • Mastery of Altium (or similar EDA tools) in both schematics and layout.
  • Mastery of power electronics, digital electronics, and analog electronics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience using LTspice, Python, and Matlab.
  • Embedded programming of DSPs, microcontrollers, and FPGAs.
  • Experience with Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical CAD tools.
