- Maintain restrooms; polish metal fixtures; refill paper and soap dispensers.
- Replace light bulbs and carry out minor repairs.
- Secure areas by locking doors and windows; patrol to deter vandalism and theft.
- Set up furniture and equipment for events; assist visitors and students as needed.
- Clean cafeteria and transport supplies between locations.
- Supervise student workers when applicable.

Seasonal Duties
During breaks, the role may involve participating in general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and other special projects.

Qualifications
- Education: Completion of the twelfth grade is required.
- Experience: No prior experience is necessary, but familiarity with cleaning methods is advantageous; character references may be verified.

Knowledge and Skills
- Understanding of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment for various surfaces.
- Awareness of safety practices related to cleaning operations.

Abilities
- Maintain schedules while performing tasks.
- Execute heavy manual labor and work independently.
- Respond to emergencies as needed.
- Operate specialized cleaning tools and follow instructions effectively.
- Foster cooperative relationships with colleagues.

Licenses
Some positions may require a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License.

Physical Requirements
Good physical condition is essential, as determined by health assessments. The role involves regular use of hands, walking, stooping, kneeling, and lifting weights up to 50 pounds frequently, with occasional assistance for heavier loads.

Work Environment
Employees may encounter fumes, airborne particles, and various weather conditions. The noise level is typically moderate.
