Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Azul Hospitality. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our resort's physical facilities and providing technical support to our maintenance department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing, electrical work, and other related activities.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on guest rooms, including vinyl repair, touch-up painting, and minor furniture repair.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC systems, guest rooms, meeting rooms, the swimming pool, and hot tub.
  • Repair plumbing issues, laundry equipment, and perform preventative maintenance on all exhaust fans and supply.
  • Replace air conditioner filters and repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment as needed.
  • Respond to alarms, determine the cause, and report to the Front Desk.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Report any suspicious occurrences or hazardous conditions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and practice safe work habits.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three to five years of experience in general building trades, with technical building maintenance (commercial) background preferred.
  • Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours in length. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally and push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs occasionally. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
