Role Overview

The Manufacturing Process Specialist plays a pivotal role in refining products and procedures by establishing process capabilities, necessary controls, and ensuring compliance with standards through ongoing verification. This position serves as the technical expert for the softgel dosage format at our facility, providing guidance in gel manufacturing, compounding, encapsulation, drying, and inspection. You will oversee the product portfolio qualified at the site, focusing on enhancing reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The primary objective is to implement specifications and suitable process guardrails to ensure a dependable and repeatable process for operational teams.

  • A four-year degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science, or a related scientific discipline.

  • A solid understanding of unit operations related to chemical processes, manufacturing/packaging equipment, and laboratory techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in developing problem statements, identifying root causes, measuring outcomes, implementing solutions, and applying learnings across the network.
  • A firm grasp of chemistry, mathematics, pharmaceutics, and/or food science.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
