Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist, you will provide clinical services in multiple modalities, ensuring optimal department functions and patient care practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies/procedures.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Imaging principles, theory, anatomy, and pathology processes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history/informed consent.
  • Maintain an orderly, safe, and clean environment.
  • Perform and document routine quality control testing of equipment.
Requirements:
  • Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start within 3 Months of hire; Upon start, ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Licensure - Upon start, must be licensed as required by the state of employment if employed at an Inova Health System free standing Imaging Center not affiliated with one of the Inova hospitals.
  • Experience - One year of experience as Radiologic Technologist.
  • Education - Graduate of an accredited school/program of radiography.
