We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist to join our team at Inova Health System. As a key member of our Radiology team, you will be responsible for providing clinical services in multiple modalities, ensuring optimal department functions, and supporting the safety of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality imaging services in multiple modalities, adhering to Imaging practice standards and ensuring optimal department functions.
- Act as a resource to Imaging Students and other technologists, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of the team.
- Administer sound patient care practices, ensuring the safety of patients and adhering to hospital and department policies/procedures.
- Maintain an orderly, safe, and clean environment, ensuring rooms are stocked with appropriate supplies for procedures.
- Perform and document routine quality control testing of equipment, recognizing the need for routine maintenance of imagers/processors to maintain consistent quality images.
- Certification: Basic Life Support Upon Start within 3 Months of hire; ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist. Must obtain advanced certification in applicable modality within one year of training.
- Licensure: Upon start, must be licensed as required by the state of employment if employed at an Inova Health System free standing Imaging Center not affiliated with one of the Inova hospitals.
- Experience: One year of experience as Radiologic Technologist.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school/program of radiography.
