Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support our Data Center Construction team. The successful candidate will assist the Onsite Project Manager in managing data center construction projects, providing leadership to contractors and vendors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Onsite Project Manager in managing day-to-day project activities, including liaison with contractors and vendors.
  • Ensure that all project responsibilities are met by contractors and vendors.
  • Assist with creating and managing project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
  • Assist with project planning, including size-up, costs, budgeting, scheduling, and timeline management.
  • Assist with reporting and RFPs to contractors.
  • Deliver Built to Suit projects with a focus on value-engineering.
  • Drive Company Standards uniformly across all project participants.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts, including progress billing, rental equipment, income, and expenses.
  • Represent the company in project meetings.
  • Act as a liaison with managers of all company departments.
  • Maintain all logs required to track project progress.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting Data Center Construction Projects as a General Contractor.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry.
  • Client-facing skills, including client relationship and client management.
  • Familiarity with the design process of building systems for data centers and mission-critical projects.
  • Solid Construction Project Management experience.
  • Effective communication skills, including email, phone, and face-to-face.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Solid administrative skills.
  • Experience writing and following MOPs and SOPs for critical MEP systems.
  • Experience with Autodesk, REVIT, AutoCAD.
  • Computer savvy, including MS Project, P6 Primavera, and Excel.
  • Previous experience in the Military or Military veterans with experience in Electrical/Mechanical.
