Key Responsibilities
The Security Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the protection and security of assets, personnel, vendors, and visitors.
- Assigned to various access points and secured locations within the organization.
- Screen visitors, vendors, and guests to grant appropriate access to the premises.
- Issue security identification badges to employees, contractors, and visitors, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Manage the distribution of building keys for secure areas.
- Investigate, document, and report incidents related to security, theft, and safety.
- Respond to medical emergencies and critical incidents as necessary.
- Monitor the company's CCTV systems to maintain appropriate security clearances.
- Operate alarm systems for burglary and fire as required.
- Conduct both interior and exterior patrols of the property.
- Stay updated on security procedures and policies.
- Ensure accurate completion of product transfer documentation and perform audit counts of site product transfers.
- Assist with managing incoming and outgoing mail and packages in collaboration with internal departments and shipping vendors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Success
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of experience in security, including military, law enforcement, or private sector roles.
- Dependable and trustworthy.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, visitors, and vendors.
- Adaptable and eager to learn new processes.
- Willingness to work scheduled or last-minute overtime as needed.
- Familiarity with cGMP regulations, ISO 13485, and other relevant standards is preferred.
