Medical Equipment Delivery Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Service Technician to join our team at Rotech Healthcare. In this position, you will be responsible for delivering and setting up medical equipment at patient addresses, educating patients and caregivers on the safe use and maintenance of the equipment, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver and set up medical equipment at patient addresses, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
- Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on the safe use and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Assist in resolving customer equipment problems under emergency conditions.
- Assist with implementation of quality improvement programs to meet company and regulatory standards.
- Assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with company policy.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding vehicle problems or conditions that may compromise safe operations.
- Complete shipping papers for hazardous materials in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Complete written patient visit reports following setup and follow-up visits, as per company policy.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of current medical equipment products and services offered by the company, as well as applicable governmental regulations.
- Develop basic reimbursement knowledge and document all information accurately.
- Develop technical knowledge of medical equipment and supplies, as appropriate.
- Maintain assigned company vehicle in a clean and safe working condition.
- Maintain delivery activity database.
- Maintain home oxygen systems in patients' homes, as per company policy.
- Manage territory to reach service goals and deliver equipment and oxygen as required, in accordance with industry standards and applicable federal, state, and local governmental regulations.
- Prepare and maintain written company records, including invoices, work orders, manifests, and logs.
- Process all orders and required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required, in accordance with company policies.
- Travel via company vehicle is required to patient homes for set-ups and recurring deliveries.
- Background investigation (company-wide).

- Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position).
