Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at Paulding County Schools. As a key member of our maintenance staff, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction duties to ensure the upkeep of our district buildings, facilities, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, replacements, and installations of various systems and equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain district and school buildings, identifying and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools and equipment, including vehicles.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and address any concerns.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks and projects.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including work orders and inventory management.
  • Assist in ordering materials and supplies as needed.
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to management immediately.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of successful maintenance experience, with knowledge of methods, equipment, and materials used in general maintenance work.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Dependable and punctual, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
