Job Summary:

As a Maintenance Technician at The Family Place, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our 60,000 square foot emergency shelter. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the operations team with daily maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks. This includes completing general building maintenance work tickets, assisting with building upkeep, and focusing on weekly touch-up painting in interior common areas and hallways.

Key Responsibilities:

Completes general building maintenance work tickets, including hanging office pictures, moving furniture, changing light bulbs, and changing door codes.
Assists with building upkeep by following the preventative maintenance program.
Focuses on weekly touch-up painting in interior common areas and hallways.
Accepts deliveries and loads/unloads materials or items onto trucks and into appropriate building areas.
Manages routine upkeep of exterior areas, including green space and parking lot.
Handles light general building repairs and provides overall building operations support.
Maintains a clean working environment for staff, clients, and visitors.
Responds to emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.

Requirements:

High School diploma or GED.
6 months of experience working in a large office building (30,000 to 60,000 square feet).
Valid Texas Drivers License and clear driving record.

Working Conditions:

This role requires working in an office environment, but may also involve working in uncomfortably hot or cold environments. Tasks may require walking, climbing, and reaching, as well as standing for long periods. There may be exposure to dirty conditions and disagreeable odors during housekeeping duties.
