About the Job

As a Consulting Engineer at ProArch, you will play a key role in designing and implementing comprehensive technology solutions for our diverse clientele. Your technical expertise will be essential in optimizing customer environments, ensuring seamless integration of enterprise-level infrastructures, whether on-premises, hybrid, or cloud-based.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Services, IIS, and Group Policy Objects, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Plan, implement, and manage Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere environments, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Develop and implement Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Virtual Networking solutions, ensuring scalability and security.
  • Implement and manage Microsoft Office 365 E-mail, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure Active Directory, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Design and implement end-user virtual solutions, including Remote Desktop Services, Azure Virtual Desktop, and VMware Horizon View, ensuring high performance and security.
  • Implement and manage backup technologies, including image and file-based backups, disaster recovery, and replication technologies, such as Veeam, Enterprise, VMware Site Recovery Manager, and Azure Site Recovery.
  • Design and implement Microsoft Enterprise Management Tools, including Intune, to ensure secure and compliant endpoint management.
  • Implement and manage Enterprise Storage solutions, including DELL/EMC, HP, Microsoft, and VMware Software Defined Storage, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Requirements
  • Perform strategic technology assessments, including data gathering, analysis, and recommendations, in an Energy setting.
  • Align organization technology goals with business requirements, ensuring strategic alignment and ROI.
  • Troubleshoot network and system issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal downtime.
  • Implement security best practices, including system hardening, to ensure secure and compliant environments.
  • Experience in Incident Response, including threat detection and response, to ensure prompt and effective response to security incidents.
  • Collaborate with clients in different vertical markets, ensuring tailored solutions and exceptional service.
  • Interface with other 3rd party vendors, including hardware, software, and service providers, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Work individually and as part of a team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Interface with clients remotely, over the phone, and on-site, ensuring exceptional service and support.
  • Develop product and solution recommendations for deliverables and presales opportunities, ensuring tailored solutions and exceptional service.
  • Budgeting and time estimation, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to communicate across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT consulting or related roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure, VMware, and networking technologies.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Azure, Cisco, and VMware, are highly desired.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will be willing to travel and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
