About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician to join our team as a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Hospitalist at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the development of our Blood and Marrow Transplantation program.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding clinical care to patients undergoing Blood and Marrow Transplantation, including overnight inpatient care and serving as the first call on the ward for these patients at night.
  • Participate in and incorporate Quality Improvement and research findings into practice, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.
  • Provide and/or serve as a resource for patient/family and staff education, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans, ensuring seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in activities that enhance professional development, complete and maintain certification in BLS and PALS, and maintain any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the area assigned.
Requirements
  • MD degree
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics (or Board eligibility)
  • Background in hematology/oncology and/or BMT is desired but not required
  • Currently licensed as a physician and eligible for licensure as a physician in the State of Georgia

The Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center is one of the strongest pediatric hematology/oncology/BMT programs in the country, with a team of over 90 faculty and 35 Advance Practice Providers (APPs). We provide care to more than 7,000 children with cancer and blood disorders annually, and our pediatric oncology program is one of the four largest in the country.
