Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator

Job Overview:

The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for executing daily administrative tasks, which include communicating with patients, addressing inquiries, and managing phone calls. This role requires efficient appointment scheduling and effective collaboration with office personnel, healthcare providers, surgical facilities, and patients.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, with flexible hours between 8am/10am and 4pm/6pm, including potential rotating Saturdays.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, such as Patient Care Coordinator or Medical Receptionist.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Plastic Surgery practice.
  • Experience with insurance verification processes.
  • Familiarity with prior authorization procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Handling patient documentation efficiently.
  • Responding to and managing both inbound and outbound calls.
  • Coordinating patient appointment schedules.
  • Creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients upon arrival.
  • Conducting insurance verification and prior authorization tasks.

Work Environment:
