Blast Cleaning Technologies, Inc. (BCT) is a leading innovator in shot blast technology, dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our customers. We are seeking a highly skilled Welder/Fitter Senior to join our team.
About the RoleUnder the direction of the Welding Supervisor, the Welder/Fitter Senior will be responsible for fitting and welding parts to engineering specifications. This role requires a high level of expertise in welding and fabrication, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Weld on various thicknesses and materials, including 1/16" + with AR, A36, Stainless Steel, and Manganese, using the correct filler metal.
- Fitting and assembling parts independently, including training others.
- Expertise in open table fitting and welding.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Take direction from a lead or leader on assigned daily tasks.
- Determine the necessary tools and machinery to complete production schedules.
- Conduct final inspections to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Complete required monthly safety training and PMs on department machinery.
- Provide support and backup as needed for assigned projects and tasks.
- Contribute to BCT's culture and core values.
- 10+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
- 10+ years of welding and fabrication experience.
- Ability to lay out, position, align, and square parts.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in all tasks.
- Ability to make decisions and follow through.
- Proficiency in multiple welding disciplines, including GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW.
