Job Summary

Under the direction of the Welding Supervisor, the Welder/Fitter Senior will fit and weld parts to engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
  • Weld on all required thicknesses and materials, including 1/16" + with AR, A36, Stainless Steel, and Manganese, using the proper filler metal.
  • Fitting/assembling independently, including training others.
  • Expert in open table fitting/welding.
  • Expert at reading blueprints.
  • Take direction from a lead or leader on assigned daily tasks.
  • Determine what proper tools and machinery are required to complete the production schedule.
  • Complete a final inspection of all parts to ensure they meet the quality standard.
  • Complete required monthly safety training.
  • Complete required PMs on department machinery.
  • Provide support and backup as needed and for all other assigned projects and/or tasks.
  • Help drive and support BCT's Culture and Core Values.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • 10+ years of welding/fabrication experience.
  • The ability to lay out, position, align, and square parts.
  • Attention to Detail and thoroughness with all tasks.
  • The ability to make decisions and follow through.
  • The ability to perform multiple welding disciplines, including GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW.
