Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our oncology pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Dispensing: Under the supervision of a physician or pharmacist, you will be responsible for dispensing oral medications to oncology patients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of medications.
  • Record Keeping: You will maintain accurate patient records, including demographics, medication lists, disease states, allergies, insurance information, and prescription details.
  • Inventory Management: You will assist with ordering and managing inventory, ensuring that the most cost-effective medications are ordered from vendors.
  • Customer Service: You will interact with patients and their representatives, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Quality Assurance: You will participate in quality assurance activities, including tracking and reporting inventory, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Entry-level position with experience in a retail pharmacy setting preferred.
  • Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate recommended, unless required by state law.
