About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Olsson. As a key member of our engineering team, you will provide technical support and guidance to our staff, and act as an advisor on complex projects.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the technical design of complex projects and providing high-level engineering expertise.
  • Executing QA/QC plans and elevating the level of technical expertise within the team.
  • Mentoring staff on technical design and providing training and development opportunities.
  • Leading the effort to gather technical resources for projects and supervising/directing professionals and technical staff.
  • Reviewing contracts and promoting efficiencies in producing quality work.
  • Maintaining quality control and checking plans.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about working collaboratively with others, having ownership in their work, and using their talents to positively affect communities.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute and work well on a team.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and 8 or more years of related experience.
  • Registration as a professional engineer and at least four years of experience supervising technical personnel.
  • Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals, and working knowledge of Civil 3d.
  • A desire to build relationships with new and existing clients and the ability to lead complex projects.
