Respiratory Care Specialist

As a Respiratory Therapist at Corewell Health, you will apply scientific knowledge and therapy to practical clinical problems of respiratory care. You will be a team member in the delivery of respiratory services, working under medical direction to perform a wide range of procedures related to the care of patients with general and specialized respiratory-related needs of various age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and Assess Patient Needs: Perform evaluations to determine respiratory care needs and make appropriate recommendations and changes in accordance with policy and protocol guidelines.
- Provide Therapeutic Procedures: Perform advanced evaluation, management, and therapeutic procedures (interventions) for patients requiring respiratory assistance.
- Document and Communicate: Accurately document patient information and communicate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Collaborate with Teams: Instruct and train other respiratory care staff, nursing, and medical personnel on patient needs and respiratory care services.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- 2 years of relevant experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory care, or sleep medicine
- LIC-Respiratory Therapist - State of Michigan
- CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC
- Additional certifications may be required within 90 days
