Job Description

The Beacon - Keystone Community is seeking compassionate and motivated individuals to provide support to residents with intellectual disabilities.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will work with residents to teach self-care skills, cook meals, and complete daily tasks. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting residents with daily personal tasks, such as toileting, bathing, and dressing
  • Completing housekeeping tasks, such as vacuuming and washing dishes
  • Transporting residents to medical appointments as needed
  • Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific resident dietary needs
  • Encouraging resident engagement in social activities

Qualifications:

  • This is an entry-level position, and no previous experience is required
  • Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 19 years old and have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
