KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee safety, quality, and productivity standards within the designated area.
- Manage the workflow of production and material handling staff, ensuring efficient job performance.
- Identify and address current and potential material shortages to minimize production downtime.
- Coordinate with various departments to guarantee timely availability of materials.
- Ensure accurate and prompt reporting of line counts and shortages.
- Organize and manage container logistics effectively.
- Monitor production requirements and facilitate timely material movement to the assembly line.
- Provide training to hourly employees, assessing their readiness for open positions in production and material handling.
- Lead lean manufacturing initiatives and oversee long-term projects to successful completion.
- Conduct daily shift meetings and group leader discussions.
- Promote a safe work environment, addressing employee inquiries and maintaining organizational standards.
- Accountable for achieving company objectives, communicating updates to the workforce, and ensuring quota adherence.
- Responsible for accurate time and attendance documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to continuously enhance departmental performance metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred, alongside three to five years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles.
- Strong organizational capabilities and a proactive approach.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with SAP is advantageous.
- Assist in the daily operations of material scanning processes.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, leadership, and supervisory abilities.
- Ability to motivate team members and ensure task completion.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Outlook is beneficial.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Visual acuity: Ability to read computer screens, reports, and documents with precision.
- Auditory skills: Ability to communicate effectively and understand instructions.
