Nursing Assistant (STNA) Job Description

Glenwood's long-term care facility is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Assistant (STNA) to provide direct care to residents and assist the clinical team in providing activities of daily living.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for all activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, dressing, transferring, ambulation, personal hygiene, and toileting.
  • Ensure timely notification of residents' change of status to a licensed nurse for further direction.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum Ability to obtain and maintain State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Certification required.
  • 1 year of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or STNA experience required.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and non-verbally required.
  • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to manage residents based on maturity level and factuality.
