Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing meetings and special events, including coordinating logistics, catering, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and revenue growth, including identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of events and meetings.
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs of banquet floors to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and quality standards.
  • Learn and operate software systems used in events, such as ticketing, retail, inventory, and space usage.
  • Manage department controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase merchandise sales, including enhancing merchandise displays and creating opportunities to upsell.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by creating an atmosphere that meets or exceeds guest expectations.
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service and verify that they understand expectations and parameters.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in hospitality, event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area.
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in hospitality, or related major; 1 year experience in hospitality, event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or a comparable professional area.
