Job Summary

The Metal Finisher is responsible for safely performing a variety of finishing functions, including precision smoothing, grinding, deburring, and polishing a range of metal types to a high finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Finishing products by grinding, deburring, filing, sanding, and polishing to the required quality level.
  • Inspecting work pieces for defects using measuring tools to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Utilizing blueprints to perform jobs and ensuring accurate completion.
  • Cleaning equipment as needed prior to changeovers or at the end of the shift.
  • Operating forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment as required.
Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Education and Experience: High School education or GED is a requirement. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Basic math skills and ability to utilize the ERP system.
