Role Summary:

We are an SQF-certified food production facility seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our expanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for all maintenance activities related to preventive maintenance, updating, repairing, optimizing, and installing both existing and new machinery while adhering to safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a variety of tasks to install and maintain production machinery and facility equipment.
  • Oversee mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs of production machinery.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Adhere to workplace safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) while working in various environments.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting (experience with food processing equipment is preferred).
  • Strong skills in pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance; familiarity with PLCs and VFDs is a plus.
  • Ability to perform welding tasks.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and commitment to attendance.
  • Capable of working independently or with minimal supervision while maintaining integrity.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, print reading, and electrical systems.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Detail-oriented with familiarity in handling industrial equipment.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes in production demands.

Physical Requirements:

  • Excellent hand/eye coordination.
  • Able to work in a warehouse with temperature variations from -10F to high heat conditions.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally above shoulder height.
  • Ability to work in environments with light dust, flashing lights, sirens, horns, and moving equipment nearby.
