Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Northern Arizona Healthcare Corporation. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and treatment in a variety of healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic respiratory care procedures on patients, including ABG punctures and ventilator management.
  • Provide proper concentration of pharmacological solutions and administer as prescribed by MD or licensed independent practitioner.
  • Record patient vital signs, including breath sounds, ventilator status, mental status, and response to treatment.
  • Identify patient and verify orders before administration of any treatment or respiratory care to patient.
  • Set ventilator parameters according to established patient protocol and doctors' orders.
  • Perform/assist in the placing of E.T. tube properly, minimizing facial, oral, and tracheal trauma.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree from an AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Licensed by the Arizona Board of Respiratory Care Examiners.
  • Proof of having passed the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS - Required.
  • NRP- Required within 90 days from date of hire and/or providing care in special care nursery.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Three years of acute care experience.
