We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Legrand North America. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of skilled troubleshooting, maintenance, modification, and repair work on various plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose mechanical or electrical problems and determine the best course of action to correct them.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on plant equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, and compressors.
- Parts Management: Develop and maintain inventory of critical spare parts, including documentation and ordering of parts, supplies, and equipment.
- Facilities Support: Provide facilities keeping services, including light bulb replacement, plumbing repair, and carpentry basics.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting agreed-upon completion dates and ensuring timely delivery of results.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with facilities manager and other departments to ensure seamless execution of tasks and projects.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with advanced training in a relevant field preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of prior experience in industrial plant maintenance, with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Skills: Extensive knowledge of PLC and machine automation, mechanical systems, electrical systems up to 480v, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC. Basic knowledge of welding and cutting principles, plumbing/pipe fitting, and carpentry skills.
- Personal Qualities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with exposure to heights over 10 feet off the ground and confined spaces. Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods, with occasional lifting and carrying of up to 75 pounds.
