Job Summary

Copper Mountain Community College District is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Construction Trades Instructor, Part-Time Faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the construction trades program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop curriculum for construction trades courses, including lecture and laboratory components.
  • Develop and implement instructional materials and assessments to meet course objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to students, including advising on course content, career opportunities, and academic progress.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement program standards and objectives.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to promote student success and retention.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of professional experience in the construction trades industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to teach and mentor students in a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to develop and implement curriculum and instructional materials that meet program standards and objectives.
Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is based on degree level:

  • PhD/EdD: $71.33/hour - Lecture, $57.46/hour - Lab.
  • MA/MS: $68.52/hour - Lecture, $55.20/hour - Lab.
  • BA/BS: $65.84/hour - Lecture, $53.03/hour - Lab.
