Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive benefits strategies for clients, ensuring alignment with their business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead client relationships and build strong, long-term partnerships through exceptional communication and service.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver innovative benefits solutions, including plan design, carrier selection, and vendor management.
  • Provide expert guidance on compliance and regulatory matters, ensuring clients are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of claims data and provide actionable insights to clients, helping them optimize their benefits programs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and vendors, negotiating contracts and advocating on behalf of clients.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and improve client outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in a lead consultant, analyst, or account manager role in the employee benefits brokerage industry.
  • Previous experience working with clients in the Union/Public Labor sector is highly desirable.
  • Attainment and maintenance of applicable state Life and Health License in accordance with IMA standards.
  • Ability to travel up to 30-50% of the time.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements, such as ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs, insurance products, and industry trends.
  • Exceptional client service orientation with a focus on building long-term relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to set ambitious yet achievable goals and consistently work towards their attainment.
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks effectively and managing multiple client and responsibilities concurrently.
  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors, and external partners to set goals, exchange ideas, and drive results.
