Responsibilities:

  • Assist and supervise children during all activities, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Support children with meal times and clean-up, promoting healthy habits and independence.
  • Contribute to academy and classroom paperwork, including daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance records.
  • Participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition, promoting a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the overall success of our childcare program.

Requirements:

  • Meet all state requirements for this position, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and be at least 18 years old, or be enrolled in a high school work-study program related to child care.
  • Demonstrate a pleasant and friendly demeanor, with an outgoing personality that fosters positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Exhibit high professionalism and dependability, ensuring a consistent and reliable presence in the classroom.
  • Ability to interact effectively with students of all ages and skill levels, as well as with parents, coworkers, and management.
  • Capacity to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday, to at least waist high.
