Floating Teacher

Kiddie Academy of Sunterra is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Floating Teacher/Utility Teacher. This position requires a team player who can adapt to various classroom settings and provide high-quality care and education to children aged 6 weeks to school age.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and reports to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Provide guidance and supervision to children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Counsel children when faced with social, academic, or adjustment challenges
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
• Assist with mealtime and clean-up, as well as complete necessary paperwork
• Participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Meet state requirements for this position
• Be able to adapt to teaching in any Academy classroom
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and be at least 18 years old
• Exhibit a pleasant demeanor, outgoing personality, and high level of professionalism
• Be able to interact effectively with children, parents, coworkers, and management
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds consistently throughout the workday
