Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic ESP Substitute to join our team at Osseo Area Schools. As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for interacting with scholars in an enriching program, creating a positive and welcoming environment, and working together with staff to meet the needs of all scholars.

Responsibilities:
  • Create a positive and engaging environment for scholars.
  • Work together with staff to meet the needs of all scholars.
  • Interact with scholars to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Participate in activities with scholars, including language arts, science, physical fitness, and more.
  • Assist with preparing snacks and/or assisting with breakfast.
  • Support group activities, such as clubs, camps, and reading programs.
  • Be a positive role model and leader to staff and scholars.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills, greeting families and scholars.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing about accidents or incidents concerning scholars or staff.
  • Complete required training as provided.

Requirements:
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Must be energetic, have strong organizational skills, and be confident, patient, and sensitive.
  • Must believe in the mission of District 279 and have a desire to build on its strengths.
  • Must be a team player and able to communicate with all ages.
  • Must have previous working experience and a love for working with scholars.
