Job Summary:

Our Production Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of all phases of the project, providing operational support to the client, and serving as the main point of contact for the client and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily production meetings to discuss ongoing projects and address any concerns or issues.

• Monitor incoming and in-production orders to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.

• Follow established systems and procedures outlined in the Production Management Manual to maintain efficiency and productivity.

• Determine and set priorities for the production area to meet customer deadlines and requirements.

• Schedule pickups and deliveries to ensure seamless logistics and minimize waste.

• Order stock and supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked inventory and minimize downtime.

• Coordinate and manage production to minimize waste and spoilage, and reject poor-quality or incorrect jobs as needed.

• Initiate employee appraisals and disciplinary measures according to company policy, and create an employee schedule to ensure adequate staffing and coverage.

Requirements:

• Three years of supervisory experience with 3 or more employees.

• Good math and communication skills to effectively manage production and interact with customers and team members.

• Ability to follow written instructions for machine set-up and maintenance, and lead and build a team to achieve production goals.

• Knowledge of all facets of print production, including digital press, bindery, prepress, and copying.

Preferred Skills:

• Use and update as necessary the computerized pricing/estimating program to optimize production and customer satisfaction.

• Serve customers by taking orders and processing them accordingly, and accept and produce copy jobs as needed.

• Comply with all OSHA safety requirements to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
