Job Overview

At Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., we are seeking a skilled Roadway Designer to join our Transportation Engineering Group in Charleston. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing roadway improvements and new construction projects from start to finish, including layout, calculations, construction plan production, bid quantities, and cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the growth of our Transportation Engineering practice by participating in design projects and providing technical expertise.
  • Develop and implement geometric studies, report writing, preliminary and final engineering, drainage design, and other related efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to maintain expertise in roadway design.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in highway design, preferably with WVDOH experience.
  • E.I.T. certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in roadway drafting and design software such as Bentley Microstation, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Excellent organizational, accountability, and dependability skills.
