Infrastructure Performance Engineer

The Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure team is seeking a skilled SRE Engineer to ensure the success of medical imaging solutions. This role involves collaborating with diverse teams to deliver stability, performance, and reliability while providing strong guarantees of availability to our customers.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of technical dependencies, configuration, and behavioral characteristics of production services. You will also need to communicate key performance indicators, security, capacity, and requirements of services to stakeholders while implementing automation and orchestration principles to eliminate technical debt.

- Ensure seamless scalability and high-performance capabilities for medical imaging solutions.
- End-to-End Ownership: Manage technical dependencies, configuration, and behavioral characteristics of production services.
- Operations Engineering: Communicate scale, capacity, security, and performance attributes of services.
- Automation Expertise: Implement automation and orchestration principles to enhance efficiency.
- Prevention Focus: Resolve issues proactively and prevent future problems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proficient in writing automation scripts using Python, Bash, Ruby, or Perl.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux internals and host-based networking.
- Expertise in developing complex distributed systems using Java or C/C++.
- Dedicated focus on creating secure Internet-facing systems and services.
- Hiring Range: $63,000 - $126,100 per annum.
- May be eligible for bonus and equity.
