Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure of our On-Demand SaaS services. You will work closely with development teams to ensure that our systems are scalable, redundant, and observable.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish operational excellence and refine project initiatives.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth and development of our team.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using IAC tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Build and maintain production infrastructure hosted on AWS.
  • Analyze complex system behavior, performance, and application issues.
  • Develop observability, alerts, and runbooks to ensure efficient incident resolution.
  • Capture capacity analysis and planning, traffic routing, and security policies for Ping's market-leading Single Sign-On SaaS applications.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience provisioning large cloud environments using IAC tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Experience with CI/CD automation tooling such as Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD, etc.
  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and microservice architectures.
  • Solid experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet/Chef/Salt.
  • Building pipelines using GitOps methodologies, ChatOps, etc...
  • Experience with observability tooling such as NewRelic, Grafana, and Cloudwatch.
  • 7+ years of experience with Linux/UNIX systems administration.
  • Experience with security design principles and implementing them in the automation workflows.
  • Solid coding/scripting skills (Python/Ruby/Go/Bash).
  • Networking experience in large cloud environments.
  • Experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment.
