About the Role:
We are seeking a proficient and experienced Logistics Operations Supervisor for our client, a leading entity in the manufacturing sector. This contract role presents a valuable opportunity to manage warehouse activities and ensure effective distribution workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily logistics operations, including the receipt, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of products.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and organizational policies to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Coordinate and manage the tasks of warehouse personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Establish and uphold efficient logistics processes and protocols to enhance productivity and precision.
  • Monitor stock levels and perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and mitigate discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with various departments, such as logistics, procurement, and customer service, to facilitate seamless operations and timely product delivery.
  • Utilize logistics management systems (LMS) to oversee inventory, manage orders, and produce reports.
  • Conduct routine inspections of warehouse equipment and facilities to guarantee proper upkeep and functionality.
  • Address any operational challenges or disputes that may arise within the logistics environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to warehouse staff, promoting a positive and cooperative workplace culture.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse supervision or a comparable position.
  • Strong comprehension of logistics operations, including inventory management, shipping, and receiving procedures.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in utilizing logistics management systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the capability to inspire and manage a team.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in logistics operations.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands, including lifting and moving heavy items.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in logistics management or related fields.
  • Experience with lean logistics practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
