Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Recreation Assistant - Facilities to join our team at the City of Commerce City, CO. This role will work under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator - Facilities and be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive program of training and supervision of the front desk staff in the Recreation Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work successfully in a team-oriented atmosphere that provides citizens and employees with accurate information and excellent customer service.
  • Be accountable, flexible, and adapt to conflict resolution.
  • Perform emergency care if necessary.
  • Handle sensitive or stressful situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Comprehend, interpret, and apply regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Attend to details, multi-task, and take initiative.
  • Use independent judgment and decision-making within established policy.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Recreation degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year of related experience.
  • Experience in telephone courtesy, cash handling, and customer service.
  • Computer experience and skills in Windows and MS Office software applications.
  • ActiveNet software preferred.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification preferred and are required within three months of hire.
  • Valid Colorado driver's license and good driving record.
