Job Summary

X-Therma, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Synthesis and Purification Specialist to join our team in Hercules, CA. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate synthesis, purification, and characterization of synthetic compounds in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the synthesis of molecules in a GMP environment, ensuring the production of high-quality and consistent compounds.
  • Implement and follow a routine chemical synthesis schedule, reaching monthly targets and maintaining a clean and well-organized laboratory space.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to optimize synthesis processes, identify key areas for process improvement, and troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during production.
  • Perform rigorous quality control tests on synthesized molecules, document and report any deviations from quality standards, and adhere to GMP guidelines and protocols throughout the synthesis process.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance, identify and address any equipment malfunctions promptly, and contribute to the preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of GMP regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality results.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical or biotechnology products, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
