About the Role

The Maintenance Technician II is a critical member of our team at Milwaukee Tool, responsible for ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of production machinery and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate maintenance activities for the distribution center, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery, including conveyors, forklifts, stretch wrappers, and tape machines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair distribution/production machinery safely and quickly when failures occur.
  • Provide support to all departments in the distribution center to maintain productivity.
  • Order parts and supplies needed to maintain equipment and inventory.
  • Perform building repairs and other duties as required, including light plumbing, painting, and contacting contracted labor for facilities upkeep.
  • Develop and maintain a complete preventive maintenance schedule for all equipment.
  • Provide training and instruction to facilities technicians.
  • Maintain 5S techniques in the shop and work areas.
  • Aid with cleaning and custodial duties.
Requirements
  • Requires education equivalent to four years of high school.
  • 4-8 years of professional work experience in a production environment.
  • Results-focused, takes ownership of team success.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to problem-solve quickly and execute solutions effectively.
  • Requires a development mindset and a willingness to learn and be coached.
Physical and Weightlifting Demands
  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of tools and boxes.
  • Standing for long periods of time, as well as repetitive motion.
  • Operate manual pallet jacks (operation of other equipment is a plus).
  • Able to work in various temperature conditions.
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 70lbs.
