The Certified Pharmacy Technician will provide high-quality pharmacy services, including preparing and distributing pharmaceuticals, performing inventory control and compliance audits, and providing customer service. This role works under the direct supervision of the Manager and/or Pharmacists to ensure delivery of patient-focused pharmacy service.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and distribute pharmaceuticals, including Compounded Sterile Preparations (CSP)
- Perform inventory control and compliance audits
- Provide customer service and maintain pharmacy records
- Work under the direct supervision of the Manager and/or Pharmacists
- Develop and implement performance or quality improvement initiatives
- High school diploma or GED
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern with the MA Board of Pharmacy
- National certification from Pharmacy Tech Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam of Certified Pharmacy Techs (exCPT)
- 2-3 years' experience with at least one year pharmacy-related experience
- 3+ years' experience
- Pharmacy students who have completed 2 years of education in an approved college/school of pharmacy are eligible for pharmacy internship
- Effective interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families/visitors, colleagues, and others
- Ability to speak the English language, read, interpret, and follow complicated verbal and written instruction
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize essential tasks, and meet deadlines
- Strong math skills and ability to perform general mathematical functions
- Basic computer proficiency
