Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver food and drinks to guests using Applebee's team delivery system
  • Interact with bar guests to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
  • Greet guests, answer questions, and make recommendations on food and drinks
  • Complete assigned opening and closing side work as required
  • Present guest checks, make correct change, and complete credit transactions
  • Relay food orders to the kitchen via the point-of-sale system
  • Serve alcohol according to state and federal laws, as well as company policies
  • Participate in clearing and resetting dining room tables
  • Observe guests, respond to requests, and anticipate their needs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Ability to explain and demonstrate usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices
  • Ability to drive sales with suggestive selling
  • Write and repeat guests' orders to ensure accuracy
  • Accommodate special needs of guests, such as booster chairs and high chairs
Requirements
  • Friendly and engaging demeanor
  • 18+ years old
  • Prior server experience preferred
  • ServeSafe Food Certification a plus
  • Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills required
  • Bi-lingual experience a plus
  • Reliable transportation required
  • High School Degree or GED preferred
  • Ability to build relationships
  • Ability to be a team player
  • Ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
  • Ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times
