We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Medical City Plano, a 600+ bed acute care hospital with a reputation for excellence in patient care. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality radiographic examinations for our patients.

Job Summary

The Radiology Technologist operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.



Responsibilities


  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
  • Develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
  • Administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be a graduate of an AMA accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology. You should also adhere to ARRT guidelines of obtaining 24 continuing education credits bi-annually and be ARRT Registered with ARRT RT(R) or Registry eligible (must be registered within one year of completing program). BCLS is required. Two years of experience as RT(R) are preferred, but we will consider graduates. On call is required, and you must have the ability to report to LSMC within 30 minutes of call back.



Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000-$85,000 per year, based on the national average for Radiology Technologists in the United States. This figure may vary depending on location, experience, and other factors.
