Job Title: Plastic Production Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Plastic Production Supervisor to oversee our print production operations and supervise direct reports. This role requires presence on the print production floor and ensuring manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment by correcting unsafe acts/conditions, facilitating monthly safety meetings, and performing monthly safety inspections.
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the food safety system.
  • Oversee the overall safety performance of the production department by ensuring safety programs and procedures are followed.
  • Maintain process quality in accordance with BuzzBallz process and quality standards.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of the production function.
  • Establish and implement improvements for safety, quality, and cost reduction programs.
  • Direct and assist with developmental or experimental production activities.
  • Maintain positive relations cross-functionally to ensure a high level of productivity.
  • Initiate, review, master, and follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the area of responsibility.
  • Access, input, and retrieve information from the computer.
  • Ensure environmental compliance.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships within the department, division, group, and company.
  • Be able to independently determine the best course of action for situational resolution and be on call as directed by management.
  • Maintain awareness and comply with hazardous waste management and other environmental management requirements in the workplace.
  • Communicate with other departments, including Beverage Production, Planning/Scheduling, Facilities Maintenance, Security, FSSC internal management, and other internal departments at the print location.
  • Understand and respond effectively to non-conforming product, whether incoming, in process, or identified by the customer.
  • Understand, complete, and maintain documentation for employee training, inspections, labeling, record keeping, maintenance of equipment, etc.
  • Comply with established job safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified in BuzzBallz directives for the safe performance of the work assignment.
  • Recognize waste streams and minimize waste generation through prudent use of materials, proper disposal, and segregation as directed or individually recognized.
  • Comply with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and wastes.
  • Attend meetings as required, track/rank/publish performance metrics, perform Town Hall Meetings, perform Quarterly Audits of all processes, and be an ambassador for the company.
Requirements:
  • Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.
  • Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
  • Oversee and coach employees.
  • Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
  • Check production output according to specifications.
  • Submit reports on performance and progress.
  • Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
  • Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.
  • Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Job-related experience for 2 year(s) minimum.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Working knowledge of production principles, practices, nomenclature, and procedures; company policies, procedures, and products; generally accepted managerial practices and procedures; business principles, legal practices, customer needs and expectations, and manufacturing quality standards.
