Adolescent Care Facilitator - Zondervan Program
Role Responsibilities:
As a key member of our dedicated care team in a residential setting, you will execute personalized treatment strategies designed to address the unique needs of young males aged 14-18 within our program. Compensation and Team Environment
Our starting pay for team members is competitive, reaching up to $22 per hour, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package. You will be part of a committed, passionate, and collaborative group focused on empowering youth towards a brighter future.
Realities of the Role
This position can be challenging. The youth in our care often come from backgrounds of trauma, including abuse and neglect, and may have mental health issues or involvement with the juvenile justice system. Building trust with these individuals can take time, and they may exhibit anger or skepticism towards caring adults.
Your Commitment
Work Schedule: 4 weekdays and every other weekend, alternating between 1st and 2nd shifts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 20 years required
- High school diploma is mandatory
- Valid driver's license is essential
- Preferred additional education or certification in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related fields
- Experience working with at-risk youth is advantageous
- Physical capability to pivot, bend, twist, and lift individuals as needed
- Willingness to cover third shift hours with prior notice
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. using approved techniques is necessary
- Agreement with the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and alignment with the agency's mission and objectives
